Do Kwon becomes Don’T Know, nowhere to be found the founder of Terra-Luna.
The Financial Times reports that South Korean prosecutors have asked Interpol to issue a red notice for Do Kwon. The Seoul Prosecutor’s Office said it had asked the South Korean Foreign Ministry to cancel Kwon’s South Korean passport. Do Kwon, the cofounder of Terra-Luna, is at the center of the biggest collapse ever recorded by a company active in the cryptocurrency sector due to a $ 40 billion hole. Its stablecoin, which anchored its value to a complex calculation ratio between two parallel cryptocurrencies, began to decline in value last April and the never-ending spiral of its collapse resulted in tens of thousands of crypto holders losing everything.
Do Kwon has been reported for fraud in several countries, including the United States and South Korea and is currently in an unknown location, at least for the moment, and police authorities seem unable to locate him here, despite he has exposed in a tweet that he is not on the run, but rather, is willing to collaborate with any government that requests it.
“We are in the process of defending ourselves in multiple jurisdictions – we have held ourselves to an extremely high bar of integrity, and look forward to clarifying the truth over the next few months”. He said Do Kwon in a tweet. “Unless you are my friend, there are plans to meet us, or you are dealing with a game in Web3 based on GPS coordinates, it is none of your business to know what my current GPS coordinates are.”
Until a few days ago, it was believed that Do Kwon was in Singapore, where he had lived for some time. On Saturday 17 September, however, the country’s police confirmed that the founder of Terra had disappeared.
Is Do Kwon on the run or is he not escaping?
