In Seychelles selling an endangered NFT bird

A conservation group in Seychelles has launched a project to sell digital NFT versions of the magpie-robin in the archipelago. Traditional sources of funding fell short during the coronavirus pandemic, so Nature Seychelles said the goal was to raise money for conservation. Digital copies of the black and white birds can be purchased for as little as $ 10 or up to $ 10,000. Nature Seychelles initially released a limited edition of 59 collectibles to represent the living birds on the island of Cousin, the money – the organization announced – will be donated directly to the cause to help manage this endangered species.
