Strike has been integrated with Shopify, a global e-commerce player. Merchants can now accept BTC payments through Lightning Network.
Jack Mallers, CEO of Strike, revealed the new integration during his speech at the Bitcoin 2022 conference in Miami. The novelty could allow Shopify’s nearly two million global merchants to accept Bitcoin payments in US dollars.
According to market research site Macrotrends, Shopify ranks as the 18th largest ecommerce company in the world, boasting more than $ 4.5 billion in annual revenue. Its service allows merchants to set up an online store in nearly 180 different countries.
Mallers also revealed a partnership with the Blackhawk payment network, the largest point-of-sale provider in the world. The company has annual sales of approximately $ 2.5 billion and its website claims to have products in more than 400,000 storefronts in 28 countries.
