Finally, even Apple users can find the beta version of its Web3 browser on the App Store, integrating a cryptocurrency wallet for iOS, iPhone and iPad devices. From January it was available for Mac, Windows and Android.
According to the manufacturing company, the main features are the Opera Wallet with support for the Ethereum, Polygon and Celo ecosystems, for the purpose of buying, selling and transferring tokens.
On the browser homepage, users can view the latest NFT top sales – we are talking about about a billion people – who will also be able to restore any Ethereum Virtual Machine compatible wallet to the native Opera Wallet and interact with their existing assets and balances.
According to the company, from the point of view of security, the Web3 browser is able to block “cryptojacking” scripts capable of compromising the performance of Apple devices. Other security features include a native ad and tracker blocker, a pop-up blocker, and an intuitive Cookie Dialogue Blocker.
In January 2022, Opera had launched the Crypto Browser project, a Web3-centric initiative to facilitate navigation through decentralized applications (DApps), games and metaverse platforms. Support is now available for eight blockchain ecosystems: Bitcoin, Solana, Polygon, StarkEx, Ronin, Celo, Nervos Network, and IXO.
