The twin brothers Bogdanoff, stars who made a name for themselves on a French TV program from the 1980s, famous for their numerous cosmetic surgeries, died within a week of each other from Covid-19. Neither of the brothers had been vaccinated against Covid-19, their friend Luc Ferry, a former education minister, said last week.
Igor Bogdanoff’s death was confirmed on Monday evening by his lawyer and his agent, Edouard de Lamaze. Igor left us at 72, six days after the disappearance of his brother Grichka Bogdanoff, the lawyer confirmed. The twins are famous in the crypto community also because they claimed to have taken part in the creation of Bitcoin. Claim probably based largely on their friendship with Japanese mathematicians.
“We were involved very early in the birth of cryptocurrency,” Grichka told French TV show Non-Stop People.
The Russian-born twins became famous as hosts of the 1980s show “Temps X” on channel TF1 and later carved out careers as amateur and often controversial science writers. They later became popular on the internet, particularly in the crypto community, not so much because the internet likes to focus attention on weird characters. Rather from a series of bizarre conspiracies and speculations that surrounded them to the point of going viral. These range from Bogdanoffs who have direct contact with extraterrestrial life, who have had psychic powers, or who have been able to control global markets with a phone call. In cryptocurrency forums they are widely recognized as omnipotent and omniscient figures, who with their manipulations are responsible for the fluctuations in Bitcoin prices.
The internet obsession with the Bogdanoff brothers began in 2015, when their photos became the subject of mockery on Reddit and 4Chan. Probably here for the first time many people outside of France got acquainted with the twins, which shocked them. Arguments arose because people wanted to know more about the history of the Bogdanoffs, and these generated far-fetched answers, suggesting that the twins were very influential on an international level, often citing their Russian bloodline as a potential connection to the Illuminati.
They were halfway between conspiracy theory and joke, and the myth of twins in contact with aliens was created, to which even the Rothschilds bowed. And we want to keep remembering them like this: as those who have influenced all the major events in history, and probably will continue to do so …
